APEC 기후센터 연구본부 기후분석팀 양유빈 팀장, 기후변화연구팀 이진영 박사, Prasana Venkatraman 박사, 기후예측팀 Erik Swenson 박사, 오상명 연구원이 4월 27일부터 5월 2일까지 오스트리아 비엔나에서 개최되는 European Geosciences Union(EGU) General Assembly 2014 참석하고 APCC 기후예측/기후응용분야 연구내용을 발표한다.

이번 학회에서 참석하는 팀장 및 연구원들은 아래와 같은 주제로 발표를 진행한다.

- 양유빈 팀장 : Evaluation of simulated precipitation: Recent trends in extreme indices over East Asia

- 이진영 박사: Regional drought monitoring based on multi-sensor remote sensing

- Erik Swenson 박사 : Partial Whitening SVD Analysis and its application to tropical-extratropical teleconnections

- Prasanna Venkatraman 박사 : Simple statistical bias correction for climate change applications

- 오상명 연구원: Typhoon and storm surge intensity changes under the warming climate around Korean Peninsula

본 학회는 2012년 설립된 유럽최대학회로써, 기후뿐만 아니라 지구과학과 전반에 대한 다양한 연구결과들이 발표되고 토의될 예정이다.
