2017년도 APEC 기후 심포지엄
APEC 기후센터(APCC)는 매년 아태지역에서 발생하고 있는 극단적인 이상기후 및 기후변화에 대한 각국의 대처능력을 향상시키고 국제적인 기후과학 네트워크 활성화를 도모하기 위하여 'APEC 기후심포지엄'을 주최하고 있습니다. 2017년도에는 APEC 의장국인 베트남 칸토(Can Tho)시에서 APEC 기후센터, 베트남 기상청(National Hydro-Meteorological Service of Viet Nam, NHMS) 및 환경부(Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, MONRE)의 공동 주관으로 8월 18일부터 20일까지 3일간 2017년도 APEC 기후심포지엄을 개최하였습니다. 본 심포지엄의 주제는 2017년도 APEC 의장국이 선정한 핵심의제 및 우선순위 분야에 따라 '기후정보를 활용한 지속가능한 식량안보 통합관리 체계 구축(Building Resilient Agro-Food Systems from Production to Consumption: Interdisciplinary Approaches for Sustainable Food Security Using Climate Information)'으로 선정되었고, 아태지역을 포함한 전 세계 저명한 과학자, 정책입안자, 이해관계자들이 100여명 이상 참석하여 관련 발표와 논의를 진행하였습니다.
