APEC Climate Center, Dr. Okyeon Kim to participate in the ‘CLIVAR-ICTP International Workshop on Decadal Climate Variability and Predictability’

Dr. Okyeon Kim, a team leader from the Climate Change Research Team at the APEC Climate Center (APCC), will participate in the ‘CLIVAR-ICTP International Workshop on Decadal Climate Variability and Predictability: Challenges and Opportunities’ holding in Trieste, Italy from November 16 to November 20.
The role of decadal variability in influencing climate has been a subject of interest since the beginning of modern climate research, and a main focus for many past meetings and workshops. In these atmosphere, The World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), its core projects, and particularly CLIVAR, identified the need to advance the study of decadal climate variability and predictability (DCVP). Therefore, this workshop focused on DCVP, which will discuss the progress of research, identify the remaining challenges, and develop a plan to address DCVP, is incredibly timely.
