Dr. Suryun Ham joined APCC in September 2015 as Research Fellow in the Climate Analysis Team. She received her ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Yonsei University, Korea, working on the impacts of air-sea coupling and cloud/precipitation processes on tropical climate in a general circulation model.
She worked as a project researcher at Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute in the University of Tokyo from 2013 to 2015. Her work focused on regional climate downscaling using the regional coupled model for future climate projection.
At APCC, she will study the improvement and evaluation of climate model system to simulated East Asia climate.
