The APEC Climate Center (APCC) hosted the "2026 Briefing on Key Research and Projects" alongside the "Awards Ceremony for Long-term Service and Meteorological Achievement" on Monday, March 30, at the center's International Conference Room.

The event was designed to share APCC’s strategic research directions and climate crisis response initiatives for the upcoming year with all staff, while also honoring those who have dedicated themselves to the center's growth and the advancement of meteorological services.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of 20th-anniversary plaques to long-term employees who have served with unwavering passion since the center's early years. Furthermore, in observance of World Meteorological Day, several researchers received government commendations for their significant contributions to climate change mitigation and the enhancement of meteorological operations.

The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity for APCC members to encourage one another and reaffirm their commitment to addressing global climate challenges through their specialized expertise.
