On Thursday, October 1, 2026, the APEC Climate Center (APCC) hosted the 2026 APCC Climate Information Application Workshop at its international conference room. Themed User-Centered International Climate Tech Cooperation for Climate Crisis Response, the hybrid event brought together in-person and virtual attendees from public agencies and organizations working on climate change projects that rely on climate data for decision-making.

While the global production of high-resolution climate forecasts has grown significantly in recent years, applying this data to real-world decisions in fields like agriculture, water management, energy, and oceans remains a challenge. This workshop aimed to close the gap between producing climate data and actually using it. It also highlighted APCC's advanced forecasting capabilities to organizations in need of reliable climate information. By sharing successful examples of providing climate data, the event helped pave the way for future international cooperation projects.
