APCC’s CLIK Training Workshop was conducted from 6th-8th October in Manila in cooperation with PAGASA, the Philippines, training 15 participants from the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The training workshop covered various aspects of seasonal prediction such as theoretical background, prediction methodologies, evaluation, and operations. Strengthening the capacity was done through the training of advanced climate prediction methodologies and practical hands-on session with Information Communication Technology (ICT)-based climate prediction tools. It increased the technical understanding and information available to NMHS's to implement and tailor national climate outlooks to meet the needs of respective users.
