Dr. Yun-Young Lee joined APCC as a research fellow in September 2015. She completed her PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at the Seoul National University in 2011, focusing on temporal and spatial variation of North Pacific storm track.
Prior to joining APCC, she had been employed at Georgia Institute of Technology and University of California, Davis for 4 years as a post-doctoral fellow. Her major research focus has been on understanding the dynamics of extreme temperature events over North America and their representation in GCM simulations.
As a member of Climate Prediction Team in APCC, her current research interest is predictability of high-impact weather in operational MME seasonal forecasting.
