APEC Climate Center receives support for its activities from 21 APEC member economies during the APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The APEC Climate Center (APCC) and its activities were highlighted and appreciated by APEC member economies during the 2017 APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) on 8-9, November, 2017 in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The respective ministers and vice ministers of foreign affairs and trade from the 21 APEC member economies participated in the 2017 APEC Ministerial Meeting to review the results achieved in advance of the APEC Summit. The delegates furthermore discussed policies to achieve APEC's theme of the year, "creating new dynamism, fostering a shared future" and consequently declared a Joint Statement based on the discussions.

Key areas that Korea is focusing on in APEC, such as strengthening competitiveness of services (developing domestic regulatory principles for service sectors and developing an index to measure regulatory environment), promoting participation in e-commerce and in the global value chain of service sectors by small enterprises, and evaluating the activities of the APEC Climate enter, were included in masse in the Joint Statement by the ministers.

The 21 member economies showed its support for the APCC in the Joint Statement, recognizing APCC's roles and activities in developing and improving climate information systems necessary for environment and risk management related to food production.
