The APEC Climate Symposium 2014 held at the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) in Nanjing, China from October 27-29 was a great success. The event was organized by the APEC Climate Center (APCC) and hosted by NUIST.
The symposium featured opening addresses from Dr. Chin-Seung Chung, the Director of APCC and Prof. Jianqing Jiang, the President of NUIST. Attendees also heard congratulatory addresses from Dr. Alan Bollard, the Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat (via a video message), and Mr. Sangchan Gu, the Consul

General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai. Additionally, there were three keynote speeches from climate disaster specialists and six different sessions that featured presentations and discussions by eminent scientists and practitioners.
